Let's celebrate Koko's life

Although baby has not lived to a ripe old age, his 6 years 3 mths had been a life lived to its fullest.

Let's celebrate his life as he has been the one who has brought so much joy and laughter into our life. Had life been without him, it'll definitely be so different, for we will not have known the magnitude of joy and laughter a pet can bring us.

Koko has been the most active chinchilla I've ever seen. The naught-est one too. Always doing weird stunts in his little home when we are close by. But his affection for us can always be felt, nibbling at our hand and fingers when we are going to niao niao him.

He had been a very intelligent chinchilla too. Knowing where to find our loopholes for the places we forbid him from venturing. Knowing what he's not supposed to do and always looking out for us whenever his naughty liitle mind can't resist the temptations. He had never stopped amusing us how he found his own way to mummy's bathroom and into his shower tub all the time. And how he always know we were leaving the room and rushing from wherever he is, hoping to leave the room with us.

But of course there were times he was not so smart, fancy hopping back into his cage when he wanted to leave the room with us. Haha...

Thinking back, his arrival had brought our family closer, as we sat together to discuss his mischief, or gathering to watch him play, going out together to buy his hays, pellets and little treats.

Zhiwei brought up how he made me into a neater and more organized person, as I have already gotten use to keeping my bags and stuff away from his reach. And to be more responsible, given the amount of responsibilities required to keep a pet. The nightly affair of playtime for him, so no staying out late without feeling guilty as I know he'll be home waiting eagerly for 9/10pm to arrive.

Koko has been cremated yesterday. He looked peaceful when we saw him for the last night. He is back into our Lord's arm now.

Koko, may you stay happy always.

I'll be bringing you home tonight. :)
